Consultants Pharmacy Staffing is Awarded JCAHO Healthcare
Staffing Services Certification
HCC has achieved the Joint Commission on Accreditation
of Health Care Organization's (JCAHO) Certification for
Health Care Staffing Services. The JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval
recognizes our commitment to provide qualified and competent
healthcare professionals who deliver high quality patient
care.
HCC is one of a select group of staffing companies to receive
the Certification. This was earned after the company underwent
a formal evaluation process. The process included an on-site
review of policies and procedures in all areas -- recruitment,
background checks, credentialing, performance, continuing
education, and overall competencies. User satisfaction was
evaluated as well.
"Health Care organizations that contract with HCC
can look to this certification as an assurance that HCC
demonstrates a commitment to providing and continuously
improving quality services," says Michele Sacco, executive
director, Health Care Staffing Services Certification, Joint
Commission.
"Most hospitals are familiar with the JCAHO process
having experienced it first-hand themselves", says
HCC President Bob Miller. "Knowing that their pharmacy
staffing company is held to the same quality standards as
they are gives them a greater level of confidence in the
agency."

The Joint Commission certification program was launched
in October 2004 to offer an independent, comprehensive evaluation
of a staffing firm's abilities to provide competent staffing
services. Its goal is to continuously improve the safety
and quality of care provided to the public. An independent,
not-for-profit organization, the Joint Commission is the
nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting
body in health care.
